We're getting married!

Izzy and Kyle met on November 7, 2024, just weeks after Hurricane Helene hit Western North Carolina. Izzy met a friend for a drink at 5 Walnut, a local wine bar and one of the only places open in town. To their surprise, there was live music, and Izzy immediately noticed the horns — specifically the trombone player (that would be Kyle). With some coercion from Jessi, Izzy wrote her number on the only paper she had on her : a dollar bill. They have been inseparable since.
