For our first date, we met at a Starbucks in a Barnes & Noble after Ivy left her classes that day. Being the two socially awkward people we are, we did not know how to spend the date how the "typical" couple would, so Ivy pulled out her Calculus homework while Kenny sat with her and we got to know each other while Ivy completed her homework. What we thought would be a 1-2 hour visit ended up lasting well into closing time. There were so many laughs, smiles, and stories exchanged that the time passed without either noticing. Now, years later, Ivy just finished her Bachelor's degree and is beginning her Master's degree while Kenny keeps her company on the couch while she does her homework and he plays his video games.
