How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

Answer

Our preferred vendor is Xelbor: https://www.xelbortravel.com/transfers.html. Roundtrip with this company is $95. Use code PARADISEWEDDING for 10% off. Once you arrive, the driver will be waiting at the airport exit with your name on a sign. This is super easy to reserve online and a great cost-friendly option if a group of you are landing at the same time and can share a van. Also, if you're traveling solo - while we know the smallest vehicle available is the private van for up to 8 people, it still ends up being the best option price-wise for you, since taxis leaving from the airport tend to over-charge (upwards of $100 one-way). And sure, you might have an empty van all to yourself, but better than trying to figure out a different shuttle, sharing with strangers and making multiple stops along the way 😄 Another option is reaching out directly to the Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen - they have a fleet of Mercedes and roundtrip is approximately $255

Yes, we are providing roundtrip transportation from the hotel (Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen) to the reception/ceremony venue. They are 20-min drive from each other

What should I wear to the wedding?

Semi-formal attire. Think cocktail dresses, classy jumpsuits and cute maxis for women, suits or suit jackets with slacks for men. The average temperature in the Riviera Maya at this time of year is around 80°F. The ceremony and reception will both be outdoors

Nope, not necessary! Once you get to the hotel, everything you’ll need is within walking distance

What are your Covid protocols?

Answer

To ensure the health & safety of all our guests, we are asking everyone to provide proof of vaccination, or proof of a negative PCR test taken less than 72 hours before their flight. As an FYI, all of our wedding festivities (welcome party, ceremony and reception) will be outdoors. *NOTE* In order to get back into the U.S., you must show proof of a negative PCR test. Our hotel provides complimentary on-site testing for all guests staying 3 nights or more, so please make sure to schedule your appointment at the front desk when you arrive! If you are staying less than 3 nights, please let us know and we'll figure something out with the hotel.
