We're getting married!

They met at their freshman dorm, Cougar Village. It was Ivonne's first night at UH, and she was meeting up with her friend Clare. Shane was sitting in the hallway, also waiting to meet up with those same friends. It was a quick introduction, hardly love at first sight. But they became fast friends and were inseparable almost immediately!

After several months of "unofficially dating," Shane finally asked Ivonne to be his girlfriend during the 7th inning stretch of an Astros game. In the middle of "Deep in the Heart of Texas," he leaned over and asked. Ivonne excitedly agreed, to which Shane replied, "really?!" almost ten times. Luckily, she didn't change her mind!

Four years later, Shane and Ivonne head to Minute Maid Park for a surprise anniversary date. Shane had booked a private tour of Ivonne's favorite Houston spot. After an hour of taking silly photos, and bombarding their tour guide with questions, they ended the afternoon at home plate. Moments later, Shane got down on one knee and asked the most important question, "Will you marry me?" Obviously, she said yes!
