We recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early to allow time for seating before the ceremony begins.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Following the ceremony, guests are invited to remain on site for social hour followed by the reception in the Parish Life Center.

Will the reception be at the same venue?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the same location. The ceremony will be in the church, followed by the reception in the Parish Life Center on Church campus.

I’ve never attended an Orthodox wedding. What should I expect?

Answer

Orthodox weddings are rich in symbolism, prayer, and tradition. Guests are simply asked to stand when able and enjoy witnessing a sacred and joyful sacrament. Programs will be provided at the ceremony.

I’m bringing my little one and worried they may not sit through the ceremony. What should I do?

Answer

Children are welcome, and we want parents to feel comfortable. If your child needs a break at any point during the ceremony, a quiet room connected to the church sanctuary will be available.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Clif, Ivey, and Three will all be getting baptized as a family at Holy Transfiguration on Thursday 23, 2026 at 6:00. All are welcome to attend.
