The Venue

The 10,000+ square foot three-story stone Tidewater Mansion fondly known as "Rockland" was constructed in 1803 by Colonel Frisby Tilghman, son of Maryland’s first Attorney General, James Tilghman. Built on one of Washington County’s original land grants, Widow’s Mite, Rockland is considered one of the County’s most significant historic properties. Rockland is listed on the Maryland Inventory of Historic Sites and is eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
