We’re getting married

Algunos dias antes de la fecha, Ivan me pregunto que si queria ir a Napa, CA a dar un recorido por Castello di Amorosa y provar differentes vinos, ya que este fin de semana era mi ultimo fin de semana de vacaciones. Le dije que me parecía una buena idea y el me dijo que compraria los pases para los dos. No me parecio extraño porque yo le habia comentado que queria hacer algo antes de que terminaran mis vacaciones. Cuando el dia llego recorde que tenia una cita para tramitar mi passaporte en Salinas esa mañana y le pedi que me accompañara. Salimos rumbo a Salinas temprano y cuando veniamos de regreso a San Jose encontramos un poco de traffico que causo que nos retrasaramos. Ivan y yo nos arreglamos y quedamos de vernos a las 2 para manejar a Napa. El llego a recogerme con un hermoso ramo de rosas y salimos en camino, yo todavia no tenia ni idea de lo que pasaria esa tarde. Ibamos retrasados pero el mantuvo la calma. Llegamos justo a tiempo a Napa y comenzamos con nuestra prueba de vinos. Al terminar la prueba me dijo que fueramos a recorrer el castillo para tomarnos una foto juntos. Despues de recorrer el castillo y no encontrar un lugar vacio para “tomarnos una foto” regresamos a el primer piso donde se encontraba la capilla de el castillo. Cuando entramos ahi Ivan comenzo a decirme muchas cosa sobre nuestra relacion y cuanto hemos crecido juntos. Usualmente Ivan es hombre de pocas palabras y esto si me sorprendio, cuando Ivan siguio hablando por varios minutos es cuando me di cuenta de que halgo iba a pasar. Ivan saco una cajita de su bolsillo y se inco preguntandome si queria ser su esposa. No lo podia creer pero despues de eso todo tuvo sentido! Al siguente dia Ivan y su familia viniero a mi casa a pedir mi mano con mis padres y todos brindamos juntos.

A few days before the date, Ivan asked me if I wanted to go to Napa, CA to tour Castello di Amorosa and try different wines, since this weekend was my last weekend of vacation. I told him that I thought it was a good idea and he told me that he would buy the passes for both of us. It did not seem strange to me because I had told him that I wanted to do something before my vacation ended. When the day came I remembered that I had an appointment to process my passport in Salinas that morning and I asked him to accompany me. We left for Salinas early and on our way back to San Jose we encountered some traffic which caused us to be delayed. Ivan and I get dressed and meet at 2 to drive to Napa. He came to pick me up with a beautiful bouquet of roses and we were on our way, I still had no idea what would happen that afternoon. We were late but he kept calm. We made it to Napa just in time and started our wine tasting. At the end of the tasting, he told me to go around the castle to take a picture together. After touring the castle and not finding an empty place to "take a picture" we returned to the first floor where the castle chapel was located. When we entered there Ivan began to tell me many things about our relationship and how much we have grown together. Ivan is usually a man of few words and this did surprise me, when Ivan kept talking for several minutes that's when I realized that something was going to happen. Ivan took a little box out of his pocket and started asking me if I wanted to be his wife. I couldn't believe it but after that everything made sense! The next day Ivan and his family came to my house to ask for my hand with my parents and we all toasted together.
