Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Since sending out our wedding invitations, we have had some changes to the wedding venue! (I know... bridezilla mode took over and we decided to change locations. Leave it up to us to change the venue two months before the wedding...). But, we are super excited to hold our wedding in two beautiful locations that embody the heart and soul of Portugal. The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place at Estoi Palace, a stunning 19th-century rococo-style palace in Portugal, known for its ornate architecture, vibrant gardens, and beautifully restored interior, blending classical elegance with a rich history. We will then move to Solar do Paço to enjoy dinner and the after-party that will go into the late night. Solar do Paço is a charming and historic manor house in Portugal, featuring traditional architecture, period furnishings, and a serene atmosphere that reflects the country's rich cultural heritage.

Is transportation between venues going to be provided?

Answer

Yes! Buses will be provided that will take you from the Estoi Palace to Solar do Paço.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask the guests to come dressed in garden formal attire. Garden formal attire for a wedding typically entails refined yet appropriate attire for an outdoor setting. For gentlemen, this may consist of a light-colored suit, such as beige or light gray, complemented by a crisp dress shirt and a tie. Ladies might choose an elegant dress in soft hues, floral patterns, or pastels, paired with tasteful footwear suitable for walking on grass.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! The ceremony and cocktail hour at Estoi Palace will be outdoors. Dinner and afterparty at Solar do Paço will be mostly indoors.

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

The Algarve in early October is a warm place to be! The temperature during the day will be around 24°C / 75°F and sunny (hopefully)! The temperature in the evening can drop to 16°C / 60°F. Please bring a scarf or jacket in case you are afraid of getting a little cold.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Plus ones must be agreed upon with Ivanna and Michael prior to the wedding. Please message us directly if you would like to bring a plus one.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the venue no later than 3 PM ET. In case you would like to take the time to explore the palace or grab a drink before the ceremony, please arrive around 2 PM ET.
