Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony promptly starts at 5:30 pm CST. Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior. We plan to have "first looks" without guests before the ceremony. If you arrive earlier, you may explore the garden grounds.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is separate parking for the ceremony and the reception. After the ceremony, you may want to drive to the Grand Hall at Powell Gardens.

How do I get to the ceremony venue?

Answer

Please note, you will be going through the staff entrance, not the front gate. Directions to the Chapel from the Powell Gardens Entrance 1. Turn into our entrance drive off of 50 Highway. 2. Follow the entrance drive to the intersection, just before our main gates, and turn right at the stop sign, onto 650th Road. 3. Take your first left. This is the Powell Gardens administrative entrance. 4. At the fork in the road, take a right. You will be driving away from the lake. 5. Drive down the road until you reach the Chapel parking lot. The Chapel parking lot is at the end of the road you are on, so you will not be able to drive any further when you reach it. How do I get to the reception from the ceremony?

Answer

Directions from the chapel to the reception: 1. Drive back the way you came, back onto 650th Road, and take a right. 2. Take your first right, this is the front gates to Powell, they will be open. 3. Follow the road all the way up. 4. Follow the right arrow on the post directing you to the Visitor Center parking lot. 5. There are marked parking lots on both the right and left side of the road. Either is fine! 6. From there you will walk down the path, towards the Visitor Center!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is preferred, but feel free to dress more formal if you want! Please refrain from wearing neon or super bright colors. Blacks are acceptable.
