FAQs

Question

Ceremony rules?

Answer

We have a completely unplugged ceremony. You can take photo after the ceremony. We have a very talented photographer there to record the day and we want everyone present during the ceremony. If you arrive late to the ceremony please remain in the parking lot until it is over as to not disturb the event.

Question

Dress Code?

Answer

Formal! However, it’s almost spring, let’s bring out colors. Main Wedding Colors: Periwinkle Blue, Sage Green, Cream Accents: Pink, Blue, Yellow The No-no’s: Men: No jeans, no hats like baseball caps. Women: no color that is traditional to the bride and that includes white, cream, and ivory dresses with flowers

Question

Weather?

Answer

The weather in March is a toss up as South Bend winters tend to linger. Our civil ceremony last March featured light rain and temperatures in the 40s all weekend. Expect the same, and hope for sunshine.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to the fact that we are trying to keep our wedding down to a modest size, only those specified on the invitation/ RSVP are able to attend. We have made efforts to include plus ones and family members, but cannot accommodate all of them.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Only those attending the rehearsal dinner (wedding party + parents of the bride & groom) are required to arrive before Thursday. All others can arrive when they are able to, so long as they are not late. We recommend arriving Thursday in case of travel delays.

Question

Where to Stay?

Answer

There are several good hotels and air bnb's in the area. South Bend isn't very spread out, so any you choose will likely be 10-15 min from the venue and/or close to downtown. Check the travel tab for more details.

Question

What is there to drink?

Answer

The cocktail hour and reception will have a cash bar and a coffee cart. Though less popular, we elected for a cash bar so we could help with costs on our end. The coffee cart will appear around dinner time and is free. We will have a cart with two or three brews of coffee if you prefer or just need to stay awake.

Question

Why a Friday?

Answer

It mainly comes down to finances. Friday, March 7, ends up being one day shy of the anniversary of our civil ceremony. We understand it may be difficult for some to find the time away from work, but we hope that you are able to join us.

Question

Is there anything going on the weekend after?

Answer

TBD

For all the days along the way
