We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Once a Saint always a Saint, is how the Siena College saying goes! We met nine years ago while studying at Siena College. Siena is a small school where everyone basically knew one another. We had many mutual friends, and would always run into each other at many of the infamous Siena townhouse parties. Eventually these weekend ragers became something that we each looked forward to, in hopes, that we would run into one another. We enjoyed our "adult life" (haha because we were like 19/20 years old at the time) at Siena away from parents and rules and really truly became friends first. We started dating 1 year later and the rest is history...

After Siena, we have accomplished many things together. From masters degrees, to respective state licenses within our careers, to moving in together and owning our first apartment, and even expanding our family by 4 fluffy paws.

Written from Jessica's perspective: Ivan and I had planned a trip to Italy and Paris together last year. We were on the latter half of the trip and were meeting up with his family to celebrate his niece’s Jayla 10th birthday with dinner at the Eiffel Tower. Ivan and I were early for the dinner, so Ivan said he had done some research and had found a spot across the Seine River, where we could take amazing pictures with the tower in the background. I thought this was kind of weird, because Ivan is not by any means a planner or someone that researches ideas ahead of time; but I went along with it. I followed Ivan's lead and saw a violinist playing and posing for pictures. As we walked past them, violist and photographer approach us, and asked us if we wanted to be a part of the picture; Ivan then says “yeah why not” (This is a weird sign because Ivan never stops when someone approaches him or agrees to anything LOL). The violinist asked if we had any song requests, and Ivan right away says, “Yes can you play Solo Por Un Beso” by Aventura (our song). At this point I’m thinking to myself, there is absolutely NO WAY that a French violinist knows this song… But then he starts playing it!!! At this point I start shaking and start to realize what is actually happening. All the sudden Ivan starts dropping to his knee, and of course I said YES!!! And as Ivan is putting the ring on my finger, I hear loud yelling coming from the background, I turn and see a large group of people running towards us; it was Ivan's family AND 20 of our closest friends/cousins and finally towards the back of the crowd I saw my family! I instantly broke down in the ugliest of cries, in completely disbelief that my mom was in Paris with us! It was such a magical moment! I love how thoughtful Ivan was, how he planned and kept such a huge secret, and made sure to include our families! Words cannot describe the love and emotions I experienced then and even now as I’m typing this..
