Ivan first met Alex through HYPE in August of 2019 - a Hispanic professional organization they both volunteer for in Atlanta. There, they grew not only a professional relationship but a friendship and bond that leans onto supporting each others’ aspirations and goals. Together with their friends Artie and Berny, there hasn’t been a moment that hasn’t felt memorable. Ivan has always looked up to Alex as not only a leader but as the brother he’s never had. He knows he can count on Alex for good or bad.

Carly met Haley in 2015 in Orlando while they were working together at a church. Flash forward to Carly returning from Norway, she decides to move to Atlanta and moves in together with Haley (who is from ATL). Their friendship grew as they shared touching moments, good and bad. While they may not live together anymore, their friendship continues and Carly knows she wouldn’t have been able to get through the tough moments of life if it wasn’t for her. She also wouldn't have spent so much time in Colorado with Ivan if it wasn't for her. If there was no Haley, there might not have been a Carly & Ivan.

Carly and Ivan wouldn’t have become Carly and Ivan if it wasn’t for Daniel. Being both of their boss’ before, Daniel witnessed the fruition of their friendship and relationship behind the bar at Gilly. Daniel also called it first that would get together and make a great couple. Carly and Ivan can’t thank Daniel and his wife Shellane for their wisdom and guidance. If it wasn’t for Gilly, they never would have met.
