We're getting married!

In 2020 while the entire world was isolating in their 'pods' and looking to avoid the dreaded 'VID, Ivana and Marko were experiencing a derailment in their well-crafted life plans. Marko was planning to return to Serbia for the first time in 3 years to attend his sister's wedding and Ivana was excitedly putting together the last few details for her 6-month student exchange trip to Zagreb. But life had other plans, and Marko, instead of heading home was forced to stay in Canada and thus embarked on a Hot Boy Summer of sorts, going out every weekend while the bars were still somewhat open (albeit social distancing and glass screens were in effect). Ivana, on the other hand, decided that she was completely through with *boys* and spent her summer working away as a server, occasionally seeing her girlfriends for a drink. On one said girl's night, Ivana met her friends at a now cult Waterloo bar named Prohibition, where Marko had also decided to come with his boys, for the second night in a row (being that he was now a party animal). Sitting at two separate tables, right next to each other, their eyes met and stayed on each other for the remainder of that fateful evening. Marko, being the gentleman that he is, sent over a round of drinks for Ivana's table hoping to impress her, but when she turned around to thank him, he did not expect her to speak Croatian. Gobsmacked that she was Balkan like him, he regretted all the cheeky comments he had just uttered to his friends thinking she was just another Canadian girlie. After several drinks and a bribe to get his friends to go for a "convenience store run", Ivana joined Marko at his table where he fell in love with her smile (braces and all) and she melted at his kind eyes, struggling to listen to a word he said. They discovered that Marko had noticed Ivana around the town several times but had never mustered up the courage to approach her before that moment and...Ivana had no idea who he was (lol). The rest as they say is history and although life has dealt them a mixed bag of treats and disappointments, they have faced it all as a team ever since. Now they want to celebrate all the love they carry for each other with you, their loved ones, and they hope to see you all soon in Montenegro !
