It’s a bit of a drive, but if you combine with another tour, and stop for lunch and a visit to one of the many underground water holes (cenote), it’s a wonderful day excursion. The hotel will sell these as a package, typically you don’t need to book ahead. But things may be different with Covid.

This is an island off the coast, and you have to take a large boat. The water is the clearest, and there are many fun activities or tours like snorkeling or water parks with bouncy houses and activities. This can also be booked as a tour.
