Adam and Iulia’s story feels like one of fate or destiny. When they share how they met, the most common response is, “It’s meant to be.” While neither of them is quick to attribute their journey to divine intervention, they can’t help but marvel at how their paths eventually crossed.
 Iulia was born in Romania and moved to the United States when she was five years old. Her parents settled in Maryland, ultimately making their home in Howard County. Coincidentally, Adam also grew up in Howard County. However, being six years apart in age, Adam and Iulia did not crossed paths during their Maryland years.
 Adam went on to attend the University of Maryland before moving to Miami for graduate school. Iulia also moved to Miami to attend the University of Miami. Over the years, they both fell in love with the city and decided to make it their home. Adam started Ballyhoo in 2016, while Iulia was finishing graduate school. 
 But their story didn’t begin there…
 Their journey together started six years later, on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2022. Adam had closed the Ballyhoo offices early to watch March Madness and prepare for the St. Patrick’s Day festivities. By late afternoon, he and a group of coworkers and friends found themselves at American Social, their favorite neighborhood sports bar. After a few rounds of Irish car bombs and some spirited dancing, fate stepped in.
 That evening, Iulia received a call from their mutual friend inviting her to meet the “Ballyhoo guys” for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Although Adam and Iulia already shared some mutual friends in Miami, they had never met before. The moment Iulia walked in, Adam didn’t hesitate to strike up a conversation. Something about her was different, and he knew it right away.
 The night continued back at a friend’s apartment, where Adam asked Iulia to be his beer pong partner. Adam still insists that Iulia played the best game of her life that night, as she and Adam won nine straight games before retiring as undefeated champions.
 In the days that followed, Adam texted Iulia to ask her out on a date. Iulia hesitated at first and kept Adam waiting for almost a month. But, she made up her mind, and on April 14, 2022, they went on their first date. From that moment on, neither of them looked back.

Adam and Iulia quickly became a family of four with their two furry angels, Nala and Lila, and found joy in becoming part of each other’s families. Iulia gaining two sisters and two brothers, and Adam embracing Iulia’s family as his own. Adam visited Romania to see where Iulia grew up where he realized she was the one and he couldn’t live without her. Then, on April 14, 2024—exactly two years after their first date—Adam proposed, to ensure their story never ends.
