FAQs

The Wedding Website of Rachel Brown and Jesús Torres Gotay
Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

To RSVP, please visit our wedding website's dedicated RSVP page. We kindly ask that you submit your response by November 30, which will help us finalize our wedding arrangements. While we look forward to celebrating with everyone, please be aware that late RSVPs may be difficult to accommodate due to our venue's specific requirements.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, children are welcome to attend the wedding if they are specifically invited on the invitation.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, when you RSVP, please include any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Our catering team will ensure your meal is prepared safely and deliciously to accommodate your needs.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! We have a hotel block reserved for our guests. Please visit the travel page on our website for all the details. While staying at our block hotel is not required, we recommend checking the travel times to our venue, especially considering Houston traffic, if you're considering alternative accommodations.

Question

Do I have to stay at one of the hotel blocks?

Answer

No, you're not required to book a room within our recommended hotel blocks. We've carefully selected these accommodations to offer convenient and comfortable options near our wedding venue, making travel and logistics easier for our guests. However, you're welcome to choose alternative lodging that suits your preferences.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue between 3:30 and 3:45 pm. This will give you plenty of time to find your seat, greet other guests, and get comfortable before our ceremony begins promptly at 4:00 pm. We encourage checking the travel times to our venue, especially considering Houston traffic.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For our wedding, we kindly request semi-formal attire. Ladies, we suggest cocktail dresses, and gentlemen should wear suits—while ties are optional, we recommend them. Above all, we want you to feel confident and look your best as we celebrate our special day.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we'll be offering an open bar, providing complimentary drinks for all of our guests throughout the celebration! It is a party, after all!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, convenient parking is available at The Carriage House. Our designated room blocks are located nearby, and ride-sharing services offer an affordable transportation option. We encourage guests to prioritize safety and use responsible transportation methods.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes! While we do have a wedding registry with a few select items, we also welcome contributions to our honeymoon or future house fund. We're excited to share our registry options with our loved ones and appreciate any thoughtful gifts that help us start our new life together.

Question

All events will be held indoors, ensuring a seamless and comfortable celebration regardless of weather conditions. Y'all know Rachel won't get her hair wet!
