WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!

Our favorite love story began on December 9th of 2016. It all started with a simple swipe right and an unforgettable cheesy pick up line from James. “I think I need a lifeguard because I’m drowning in your beauty”. This was the first message from James, that little did we know would be the start of the rest of our lives. James was in his senior year of college at Umass Lowell and I was taking classes to be certified in medical billing and coding at Middlesex Community College. We continued to get to know each other through text and many FaceTime nights while he was on winter break back at home on the Cape. Fast forward to January 15th of 2017 , the day we finally got to meet in person when he returned back to campus. Our first date I pulled up in front of his dorm building in “Alfonso” my infamous 2000 Chevy Impala , to pick him up for our first date. Our first date brought us to a little pizzeria Tremonte’s in downtown Lowell where we had our first dinner together. Tremonte’s will always have a special place in our hearts. We then went to Brunswick (now called Bowlero) to bowl the night away. Little did we know years later we would be a part of a bowling league at this same facility. James and I hung out pretty much every day since that first date. January 27th 2017 is the date James asked me to make it official and be his girlfriend . I kept telling my mom that I was going to the library to study but she soon realized no one could be studying that much! Beginning of February James got to meet my mom for the first time and funny enough that same night we just so happened to run into my Auntie Dianne and Stephen at T-Bones! James soon found out how much family means to me. Flash forward to May of 2017, the day that James was moving out of his dorm right before graduation and moving back home to the Cape. Tears were shed and if you ask James I was being overly dramatic acting as though that was going to be the last time I was going to see him. Even though I knew I would be seeing him at his graduation day a few days later. As everyone who truly knows me, it was a fact that I wouldn’t reverse out of my own driveway never mind drive on the highway before I met James. He was truly the reason that got me to finally make that jump on the road and start driving on the highway. Looking back now I should probably have done a few small highway trips first, instead of making my first highway experience driving all the way from Methuen to Cape Cod. But it’s amazing what love will make you do. Through all of the broken down car events from commuting back and forth every other weekend to the Cape, earning multiple college degrees, moving in together, and adopting our puppy Trinity , these chapters have lead to creating this life with my best friend. James popped the question in January of 2022, after much anticipation, at the waterfront of Boston. He was even so detailed in the event, he hired a photographer to capture the moment that included my personal fav landmark, The Custom House clock tower in the back ground on one knee. Absolutely perfect day to add to our love story. We truly can not wait for our future together and to be able to celebrate with all of you September of 2023. A Moms Moment It was the last day of Kayla's holiday school break She didn't want to just hang out and Brittany was in Boston for Celtics game take So the two of us decided to adventure with Willow for the day at the ocean Wander the beach see the lighthouse and then an inside car view filled luncheon As many know Maine is where we adventure and take in the sea We walked and talked as that's a favorite past time for my girls and me When suddenly while I was driving home by York Harbor Inn Kay and I were reminiscing about Brittany and her dream to get married there or somewhere within Like the stars were aligned when suddenly the phone in the car rang I said hey britt were your ears ringing with a chill and a bang When I hear a faint tearful voice say "Mom look can you see?" I said are you ok? do you need me? Sniff sniff look look... I pleaded to Kayla my phone is where? Brittany I am driving in the car your face isn't there I finally found my phone in a fumble and mess To briefly see Britt's face then a blank screen saying no service none the less... When then she appears with hand up to the screen Look mom... please tell me I can be seen I then screamed and cried and almost drove off the road When I see before me my beautiful daughter with a ring on finger such a heartfelt load The emotions felt I can't quite grip But let me tell you every orifice on my face definitely did drip I never wanted to push for a run down an aisle And understood James had this plan for a little while Let me just say James is a guy I can totally relate He is so easy to talk to and for sure my Brittany's true mate He likes to help and see the good in all And is always available to help with less than a call I love this young guy and all he adds to my girls life And thankfully he has been patient learning she is the perfect future wife The two understand the compromises of love That loyalty, friendship and commitment must always stand above I hope they remember a little of my wish That when scooping ice cream it's two not one dish When making plans it's ask and invite Don't assume to go or there will sure to be a fight What's yours is both together to share, always remember to be honest and fair Struggles are accepted by both as a team, but with that the celebrations will make you both beam I'll end my wish here because I'm probably a tearful mess but just know I can't wait to stand beside you watching your love story progress So lets set aside the tears and look to the adventure ahead It's going to be so much fun seeing you both happily wed Pizza and this restaurant chain was apart of the first chapters wrote So Tremonte's was the place to celebrate this event without even a vote The foodie couple began 5+ years ago from a swipe right, where you began the story from Facetime and nightly phone type Lots came after including the road less driven became more Because apparently you can do anything once you find the person you adore Moving together with Milo to build a life Then adopted your fur baby Trinity before taking the step to be a wife All these chapters written is easy to see Simply because it takes two to Tierney But lets all raise our glass for these two best friends.
