Courtney and Scott have been friends since high school. They even went to middle school together, although their friendship really formed through all the calculus tutoring sessions Courtney gave Scott in their teenage years. Scott's house was "THE house" to hang out at and Lakers game nights became part of their usual routine. As Scott likes to say, "Courtney always had a boyfriend" so she blindly friend zoned him for all those high school years. When it was time for college, Courtney stayed in LA and attended LMU while Scott headed north to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly. They met tons of new people and created all new experiences, yet they maintained their friendship through it all. Every single holiday break or summer vacation, you could find Courtney and Scott hanging out, whether it was attending trivia night with friends, boating on the lake, or hitting balls at the driving range. (Courtney always joked about being Scott's caddy on the PGA tour. ;) ) This pattern continued all through their early 20s, which only deepened their friendship and solid foundation of trust in each other. Finally around the age of 25, Courtney and Scott were both single and timing was just right. They realized that their feelings were a lot deeper than just friends. They were truly made for each other. And so began the best thing that would ever happen to them... 5 and a half years later, she finally got to take his last name as they went from friends to lovers to husband and wife.
