Rob and Kailey’s paths probably crossed more than once without them even realizing it, thanks to the many mutual friends they shared. But it wasn’t until October 30, 2021, that fate and their shared love of holidays finally brought them together. Surrounded by friends and the spirit of Halloween, they met on what would turn out to be the luckiest night of all. Kailey arrived at a friend’s Halloween party dressed as a pirate, and a little while later, Rob walked in as a firefighter. The moment she saw him, she couldn’t help but take notice, but was too shy to say hello. As the night went on, their paths crossed again when Kailey offered to take a picture for Rob and a mutual friend. After snapping the photo, she tried to quietly slip away, but Rob wasn’t about to let the moment pass. He found her soon after, and the two quickly hit it off, talking, laughing, and realizing how natural their connection was. Before long, they were teaming up for beer pong, showing off their teamwork (and a little friendly competitiveness) by beating both of their brothers. What began as a chance meeting quickly grew into something special, a love that continues to bring out the best in each other and is truly worth celebrating. To this day, holidays still hold a special place in Rob and Kailey’s hearts. Fittingly, Halloween became even more meaningful when Rob proposed on their three-year anniversary, October 30, 2024. He popped the question at Smith Rock State Park, a place that perfectly reflects their shared love of nature, adventure, and exploring the world together.
