Things To Do

Since this may be a destination event for some, please take time to explore and check out a few NYC landmarks such as Time Square, Empire State Building, Apollo Theater and Statue of Liberty. While exploring, stop by one of our favorite date night spots listed below.

Red Rooster

310 Malcolm X Boulevard, New York, NY 10027
, (212) 792-9001

We love live music and great food! During this date night in Harlem Toland tried collard greens for the first time 🤣. If you’re looking for a cool diverse spot with great cocktails and food, check out Red Rooster.

Mezzrow

163 West 10th Street, New York, NY 10014
, (646) 476-4346

Toland took me out on the town for dinner and live jazz for my birthday to Mezzrow. Although the space is small for this spot located in Chelsea, it’s the place to be! They have a neighboring jazz spot down the street which your ticket can gain you entry to as well. If you’re looking to do a bit of jazz club hopping, check out Mezzrow.

Madison Square Garden

4 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, NY 10001
, (212) 465-6741

Prior to COVID we often frequented MSG for boxing matches to basketball games. Check out the schedule to see if there’s any shows while you’re in town!

Jazz at Kitano

66 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10016
, (212) 885-7119

This is the date that made me realize Toland was the man for me! He waited for me outside the jazz spot and looked sharp as my cab pulled up. When we entered he introduced me to all of the musicians. We had amazing food and we shared our first kiss while walking through NYC over to Bryant Park after the set. It must have been the most sweetest date I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a sophisticated spot for a romantic night on the town, check out Jazz at Kitano.

Barclays Center

620 Atlantic Avenue, Prospect Heights, NY 11217
, (917) 618-6100

Tolands favorite basketball team is The Brooklyn Nets. We’ve spent plenty dates leading up to COVID at Barclays. We’re ready to go back now that their accepting fans! If you luck out and get tickets here while in town please don’t forget about inviting us. Lol

The High Line

New York, NY 10011
, (212) 500-6035

We spent many nights roaming the streets of NYC, normally hitting up restaurants in Chelsea. Toland introduced the High Line to me as his favorite spot. Now it’s mine. You can walk through the gardens, sit on a bench and just talk, or checkout the NYC skyline on top of the bridge. If you’re looking for a peaceful outdoors spot, check out the High Line in the meatpacking district.
