When I swiped right on this cheeky English chap, I never expected that he was the man I've dreamed of for the longest time. I first saw him standing outside the Hamilton Bar in DC and as I crossed the street, I started to get butterflies when I saw his cute smile. After four hours chatting the night away, I still felt giddy and I just had a feeling that he was different. He proved just that the very next morning when he texted me and locked me down for date #2! I quickly fell head over heels in love with him but there was one moment in particular that I knew he had my heart. One day I went over to his apartment and saw that he had purchased steps for my tiny dog, Bingley, to get up on to his bed. Such a silly memory but that just showed me how truly compassionate, caring and attentive this incredible man is. To this day, he continues to spoil me and shower me and Bingley with so much love. I cannot wait to call this man my husband and share the rest of our lives together.
In January 2019, whilst on Bumble, I came across the profile of a gorgeous young lady. There Cecilia was, looking beautiful in a gown at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Gala and (most importantly) posing with a luggage trolly at Harry Potter's Platform 9 3/4 – I was SO interested. In our first conversation, we talked about Mr. Bingley, her dog who was named after the character in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. Skip to our first date at the bar of DC’s Hamilton Hotel – it was a blast! We talked about everything long into the night and the next day, I asked if Cecilia would go with me to dinner the following week in Georgetown at Bodega with dancing to follow. More dates followed, it was easy and fun, and I quickly knew I loved Cecilia. In September 2020, I asked Cecilia to marry me and now you’re reading our story on our wedding website! I would describe mine and Cecilia’s relationship as a true friendship, we share everything, the good, the bad, and the mad. It’s fun, it’s honest and I feel lucky to be able to share my life with Cecilia. I cannot wait to marry this lady and celebrate our story with all of you!
