Although we love your children we regretfully cannot accommodate them at our wedding. We have decided to have an adult only event and hope that you will see this as an opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy the party with us. We hope that we have given you sufficient time to be able to arrange a good babysitter so your children are able to enjoy a night free of mum and dad.
Unfortunately we are limited as to the number of guests we are able to have and as a result have had to be stricter then we would have liked on numbers to ensure that all those we hold dear are able to celebrate with us on our big day.
Our wedding is scheduled to start at 2:30pm, therefore the vicar recommends an arrival time from 1:45 onwards
We kindly request that there are no smart devices, phones or cameras used during the service. We want guests to be able to be fully present during our vows and to enjoy the service - let our photographer do all the hard work. If you would like to post photos of the reception on social media please use the hashtag #itsmarneytime
Whilst there is on street parking outside the church we recommend that all guests follow the signs to park within Irnham hall. From here it is a 2 min walk to the church, via an internal gate (there will be signage). There is a posh toilet block located at the car park for any calls of nature after your journey down the bumpy country roads. Guests are welcome to leave their cars safely in the grounds of Irnham for collection by Midday the following day.
We would love to capture the classic confetti shot! Whilst confetti is allowed within the grounds of St Andrews, as with most churches only biodegradable is allowed. You are more than welcome to bring your own but there will also be confetti available after the service.
There are many different options for accommodation locally if you wish to stay over. There are a range of hotels and country inns to suit all budgets, from the super posh Stapleford Park and Hambleton Hall on the edge of Rutland Water to the more homely Woodford Arms or the local Premier Inn and Travelodge for those who simply want a comfortable bed for the night . There are also some local B&B's, check out air BnB. Please see the accommodation section for further details. Feel free to contact us if you need any help
We have chosen to hold a honeymoon list with Prezola, where guests can contribute to experiences to make our trip extra special. However we do not want guests to feel that this is expected - all we request is your presence and that you have a good time.
We want everyone to be full and content with both food and drink at our wedding. Please can you advise us of any dietary requirements so that we can liaise with the caterers in plenty of time before the day as we really don't want anyone to go hungry. lswedmin@gmail.com
You will if you send us your music requests, we hope the DJ will be able to fit in as many as possible to keep the dance floor full all night! The Bride and Groom reserve the right to veto ;-)
This is our own personal wedding hashtag. For those of you who use social media and wish to post photos please use this hashtag to enable us to locate and group all your photos as you may have captured moments, expressions and antics that Georgi the photographer might have missed.
