We met at a Bible Study, started talking more at a service project, and got to know each other better at a group bonfire. Both of us thought we were taking a break from looking for relationships, but it was so easy to talk with each other that we quickly became best friends. After a few months of sharing thought-provoking conversations, Taco Bell dinners, and movies, we started dating and the rest was history. It was impossible not to also fall in love with Alexzander and Logan, and throughout the relationship I frequently referred to the Fawson boys as my "three boyfriends" because Azariah, Alexzander, and Logan have all been so sweet to me. I'm beyond excited for us to move into this next stage of life of being a family. Azariah and I come from different faith traditions, but our passion for empathizing with others and our drive to promote unity has bridged our two worlds into something truly beautiful, and looking back, I wouldn't have it any other way. -MacKenzie
As MacKenzie's and my relationship grew and strengthened, the time came to plan a proposal. While she didn't know for many months about the decision I had made through much fasting and prayer, it was pretty evident through our actions and words that we wanted to get married. For that reason I made it my mission to tell no one until absolutely necessary about any details of the proposal. It took months of planning and three wedding ring trials from the jeweler to get things precisely right. In my efforts, MacKenzie was secretly trying to figure out when the time would be as her senses are very keen. She hunted for answers like a lion stalks its prey. Knowing my Kenzie is my best friend, I anticipated these attempts of her finding out. While she did through a few subtle hints of pointing at her ring finger, buying ring pops for me on Christmas, and guess at every next holiday when the proposal would be... I had a plan and I was sticking to it. My plan was executed as follows: have one person to talk to about the wedding ring (two minds are better than one, so the person I entrusted was my Mom); tell MacKenzie's parents as close to the proposal as respectably possible (I knew MacKenzie would use her expert tactics on getting her parents to spill the beans, so I told them over a game at Topgolf while they visited for Christmas :) ; the next part wasn't too difficult, I just had to convince MacKenzie to travel an hour away to the proposal site for New Years (this was at the Bentonville temple in Arkansas). I couldn't have asked for the moment to be any more perfect! While most people would probably say how nervous they were, I had an immense amount of love and calm poured over me as I had no fear in asking the woman of my dreams, MacKenzie Marie Cline, to marry me that night January 1st, 2024 at 12:01 am. I got down on one knee and asked as she cried, "MacKenzie you are my best friend, you mean the world to me, and I love you with all my heart. Will you marry me?" Jumping up and down and crying tears of joy, her answer was a resounding, "YES." We gave each other a big warm embrace as we both soaked in that precious moment in time. We now live everyday for each other and our family. We thank God for the miracle of us being brought together! -Azariah
