All started with a simple DM... and not me to her, but her jumping into mine on June 11th, 2016. As if that year wasn't big enough already. With my journey to my second olympics... She had the balls to make me fall in love too! "You should totally come visit FL.. Or I've been thinking about visiting CA to get tattoo'd by your friend Matt". Though I ducked her til the 13th haha, that's all it took for this little lady to become the biggest part of my life. It was nonstop from there, as we text all day everyday... I think it took us over 2 weeks to finally talk on the phone and even longer to Facetime, but after that, there were many of nights (with a 3hr time differance) we would stay up all night drinking bottles of wine til we nearly passed out. I believe we actually called ourselves Boyfriend and Girlfriend before we even met in person, like we were kids going to different middle schools. With our original BF/GF anniversary being June 24th, we didn't finally meet in person til 4th of July weekend. Lindsay got a flight to SD and we were finally going to have our first kiss... I remember her coming down the escalator at the Airport in her long green dress, and knew I was going to tell her I loved her immediately... and I did. After months of swapping weekends going out to FL or coming to SD... Meeting all her friends, having our first Christmas and New Years together, we decided we had to move in together. The traveling and being away from eachother was terrible. Talked her in to coming to me and asking her to uproot her whole life and job... Was a huge step, but I'll be forever grateful to her bravery and courage in our relationship. A new kitty, 3 goats, and a grumpy pig later and Life in SD has been incredible.. Was December 2018, and I borrowed my mothers old wedding ring from my parents marriage to ask the woman of my dreams to be my wife.... and come Nov. 2nd, 2019 - You will all bare witness to the greatest love of all time...Rick & Linda Forever
