Nicole and Evan swiped right on August 8th, 2017. Nicole opened with a line about dog dads and that was it! After a couple weeks, Evan finally convinced Nicole to go out with him.

Evan and Nicole went for sushi and wine at Toro Sushi (RIP). After a few hours of great conversation, they went to a neighborhood dive bar where Evan swept her off her feet with his voice of an angel. "Walking in Memphis" has held a special place in her heart since that day.

Evan started Nicole's birthday with a personalized Cameo message from one of her favorite Chicago Cubs, Kyle Schwarber. He then catered dinner for them. After dinner, he brought out a beautiful cake and got down on one knee. Nicole was taken by surprise and of course, said, "Yes!" The cake was delicious and the ring was beautiful.
