Let's take it back 9 years to the halls of Hill-Murray high school. To this day, both of us swear the other person made the first move. Kenz claims Sam slid into her DM's, however, Sam said Kenz made the first move by showing up to one of his games in a personalized t-shirt. Either way, our swishes came true! Sam was also known for making extremely embarrassing and all out promposals, and he kept that tradition alive with his actual proposal this past July. After high school, we each went to different colleges, so Sunday FaceTime dates were our jam. Kenz often made the 4 hour trek to St. John's for Tommie Johnnie football games and to bust some dance moves on Sal's dance floor, while Sam made the 4 hour drive to La Crosse for fall bluff hikes and multiple dinners at Old Crow. After college, it was nice to be back in Woodbury where we lived only 10 minutes apart. Then Sam pulled the surprise of the century by proposing on 4th of July weekend (Kenz's favorite holiday), at Ruttgers Bay Lake Lodge (Kenz's favorite place in the world), with some of her favorite people. It was a weekend we will never forget. These past few months have been filled with wedding planning and house hunting. Looking back, we are so grateful to have met in the halls of Hill-Murray. 9 year later, and we can officially say #itsaboutsamtime.
