We made a mistake with the year we put on our save-the-dates. The website is correct. Our wedding is on October 3, *2021*.
Unfortunately, the Cambria is not able to offer free parking for overnight guests or individuals driving in for the reception. The cost is $20/night for overnight guests, and $10/day for guests driving in for the wedding. We also encourage guests who are not staying at the Cambria to carpool or utilize Uber or Lyft in order to split any parking/travel costs, and to ensure that no risky driving scenarios happen for any guests who may be consuming alcohol at the wedding.
Unfortunately, the Pittsburgh Penguins do have a preseason home game on the day of our wedding, which we can’t control and did not know until July. However, the game is at 1:00pm and our ceremony does not begin until 4:30, so the game should be over and most fans should be gone in plenty of time for our ceremony. It is possible that between about 3:30 and 4:30, traffic around the hotel could be pretty heavy as fans leave the game, but hopefully with it just being preseason, it won't be too large of a crowd.
On the whole, we believe that based on the nature of the reception, the atmosphere would not be conducive to kids being in attendance. Plus, we want mom and dad to be able to enjoy the festivities with as little worry as possible! With that said, we will not be including kids outside of the wedding party on our invitations.
