Hotel
Hotel David is located between the city center and Villa Merlo Nero, which are both a 15 minute walk from the hotel. While we do not have a hotel block due to the small number of guests, this hotel is highly recommended for its location and its service. Breakfast is included with your stay.
Travel Note
Florence Airport (FLR) is a small, easily-navigable airport located 30 minutes from the city center, and about 40 minutes from the wedding venue. Flying into FLR will likely involve an intra-European transfer. It is also possible to fly into Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), which has many direct flights from the United States. From Rome, it is a 1.5-hour train ride to Florence. If you are taking the train, you will want to buy tickets from Roma Termini to Firenze Santa Maria Novella on the Frecciarossa. You can also drive from Rome to Florence, but this is likely to take longer than the train. The third option is to fly into the Pisa International Airport, which may have direct flights. Pisa is 30 miles away from Florence, which is a 1-hour drive, or a 2-hour train ride. Please feel free to reach out to Carmen or Colton if you have any questions about travel!
Travel Note
Florence is an old, historical city. Our favorite way to navigate is on foot! We generally recommend against renting a car while staying in Florence. Parking is limited, and the traffic laws are complex due to Limited Traffic Zones. There are numerous options available for getting around the city, including buses, trams, and taxis! If you are looking to do a day trip outside of the city, most destinations can be reached through train or private transfer.
