Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

Hopefully, outside! Casa Perea has a gorgeous garden area where we plan to say our vows and mingle afterward. Should the weather take a turn for the worse, they have an indoor space.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail/Semi-formal. Garden chic is what we're thinking! We'd love to see your florals and springiest hues! Grass and patio tile line the outdoor area - a consideration for heels.

Will there be food?

Answer

We'll have finger foods, but encourage you to enjoy a big lunch beforehand.

What's the bar situation?

Answer

There will be an open beer and wine bar featuring local selections, as well as lemonade and water.

Can we bring our kids?

We love your little ones, but our historic venue cannot accommodate kiddos. We appreciate your understanding!

Yes! And we're happy to accommodate you with parking at Casa Perea, just let us know!

How Did You Meet?

Answer

HER STORY It was a warm Wednesday in July when my club of lonely hearts gathered around an empty table in a dimly lit, downtown bar to compare notes from the evening's speed dating event. My notes ranged from "Really into flying kites...?" to "Wouldn't let go of my hand." Less than ideal. It wasn't long until we'd moved from the evening's event over to the dating apps. Bumble, aka Cupid, made our virtual introduction. Andrew had a big, warm smile and a beautiful dog, and wasted no time on small talk; we exchanged pages and pages of hello's and how are you's. By Friday, we'd set a Sunday morning coffee date. Then, a second date at the Botanical Gardens - where a very kind worker offered to take our first photo! (see the first photos on the Gallery page - you can't miss the large goose statue and my swollen soccer ankle) By week two, I knew this was special - and pretty brazenly announced that I was going to marry him ("and I know that sounds delusional") to my friends.* Thankfully, Andrew has proven me right every day since. *Big sigh of relief because my friends would've never let me live that down! And Andrew, I love you so much more.
