Walk or rent bikes around Stanley Park
A must do. A full 10k loop, or you can walk 8k from the beginning to the Catcus Club Cafe - a beach-side restaurant with outdoor patios (also a #1 Drake favourite place to dine.) - One of Issy's favourite summer activities!
Grouse Grind
A local hiking classic! Only 15 minute drive from the North Vancouver ship yards, it will take you about 45 mins to 2 hours to hike the endless stairs to the top with gorgeous views of the city, mountains and ocean with more small trails and food and beer at the top. You can either take a gondola down or choose to hike down via another trail (the BCMC trail). WARNING - can be dangerous when hungover - Ryan was passed with someone wearing a Pokemon outfit while suffering from a night-out.
Pump Peak (Mount Seymour Provincial Park)
6.5km hike only 25 minutes from the North Vancouver Ship Yards - This is my favourite hike in North Van. When Ryan and I went we saw black bears (it is a highly frequented trail, but be on the look-out) and I drank all of our water!
Dog Mountain Trail (Mount Seymour Provincial Park)
A flat 5k hike 15 min drive away from the North Vancouver ship yards - with amazing views at the end! (Ryan never did this hike with me)
North Vancouver Brewery Walk
We recommend starting at House of Pandemonium brewery on Esplanade ave and traveling towards the Ship Yards, we also like Beere and Shaketown along the street!

Sharing some of our favourite restaurants to try in North Vancouver/Vancouver! North Vancouver Sempre Uno - Right in the North Van hub - delicious Italian. Gets busy, so try to grab a reservation Sushi Kumo - Casual but absolutely delicious sushi restaurant - Ryan and I would go once a week Jam - Delicious, classic breakfast spot - Try their house made hot sauce Vancouver Kissa Tanto - China Town - One of Issy's top restaurants - 1 Michelin star, will need a reservation early in advance but very worth it Song (by Kin Kao) - On Main Street - Michelin Guide restaurant - amazing Thai restaurant, very fun but gets busy so try to get a reservation per se Social Corner - New but delicious Italian food if you're staying Downtown Vancouver Nuba - Lebanese spot and the place of our 2nd date! Ryan's #1 favourite AJ's Brooklyn Pizza - Amazing deep dish pizza. You need to get the Detroit pepperoni pizza.
