How We Met

10/26/2018

Halloween was around the corner, and a music festival called Escape was a few days away. Anissa wasn't supposed to go, but her friends surprised her last minute with a ticket. Our friends decided to meet up and that's when we met and instantly felt a connection. Who would've thought that a quick interaction would make us inseparable.

First Date

11/06/2018

Although we quickly got separated at the festival, we kept in touch and talked everyday. For our first date, we went to Disneyland and bought annual passes. In hindsight, this would've been a big investment if things didn't work out LOL.

Official

11/12/2018

Two weeks after meeting and a few dates later, Ralph showed up to my apartment with the biggest flower arrangement in tow. He took me to Santa Monica Pier, got on the ferris wheel, and we decided to make it official.

Proposal

10/28/2021

Since the pandemic hit, I didn't get to see my dad for almost 2 years. Once restrictions eased, we booked a trip to NY to visit him. Little did I know, Ralph was in touch with both of my parents and had asked them for permission already. It was a rainy week and full of surprises-- Tuesday was supposed to be the big day, but he ended up having to re-schedule to Wednesday, and finally to Thursday when the skies cleared up. Ralph randomly told me to get ready because a car was picking us up at 5:30. Thoughts were racing, my heart was pounding, and I didn't know why we would need a car service when Uber was easily accessible. We pulled up, and to my surprise we were going on a helicopter! Not only that, but it was just the two of us there. At this point I really had a million thoughts going through my head, but my heart already knew the answer. I was in awe viewing NYC from that vantage point and seeing the city lights and Times Square at night was so magical. As we descend back down to the hangar, the pilot makes a turn and I see these giant lit up letters that spell out "Marry Me". We get off the helicopter and into the golf cart, we get off by the sign and that's when he got down on one knee. As he was saying his speech, we both couldn't hold back our tears. It was really happening. The easiest decision of my life.
