We're getting married!

It all started in August 2020 with a DM—modern love at its finest. Israel was in Austin. Eris was in Houston. Eris was rightfully skeptical (because: stranger danger), so instead of giving out her address, she told Israel to meet her at her local Fiesta parking lot. Romantic, right? From there, he picked her up and took her on their first date to Pluckers. That’s when Israel introduced her to the “Vampire Killer” wing sauce. Eris was hooked. Pluckers became the go-to spot, and Vampire Killer? Officially their comfort food and unofficial love language. Fast forward: July 2023: Eris moves to Austin for a job opportunity—and probably also for the wings (and Israel, sure). That same month, they got their very first apartment together, officially beginning their cohabiting era (lots of takeout, arguments over thermostat settings, and partners in crime) February 2025: their family grew by four paws when they adopted Luna, their first fur baby, professional cuddle expert, and occasional chaos gremlin. Then came March 2025. On a calm day at Lady Bird Lake, Israel planned a cute little boat date. Everything seemed chill—until, mid-float, he suddenly got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. Obvi She said yes. Luna approved. And now here we are—planning a wedding, still obsessed with wings, and forever grateful for that random DM. We give all our Praise, Thanks, and Blessings to Christ ✞
