Shuk HaCarmel (Carmel Market)

Tel Aviv’s biggest and busiest marketplace is filled with colorful stalls and shouting vendors selling a variety of goods, from dried fruits and exotic spices to clothing and footwear

Sarona Market

Sarona Market is Israel's largest indoor culinary market and operates seven days a week. The project was constructed by Gindi Holdings on Sarona Gardens in the heart of Tel Aviv. Sarona Market is an innovative, contemporary urban market that combines the old world with the new.

Neve Tzedek

Tel Aviv-Yafo, Tel Aviv District, Israel

Filled with a maze of narrow winding streets, this picturesque neighborhood is considered one of Tel Aviv’s major cultural areas where the Frederic Mann Auditorium, Helena Rubinstein Art Museum and Israel’s Habima Theater are located. The funky Neve Tzedek Quarter is the city's oldest neighborhood, with European-Jewish settlers first building houses here in the 1880s. These lovely old buildings have been well preserved, and many now house arty boutiques, cafés, and some of the city's hippest restaurants.

HaTahana Street

HaTahana Street, Jerusalem, Jerusalem District, Israel

In the district's southwest corner is the old Ottoman railway station called the HaTachana. This has been restored and reopened as a rather stylish complex of cafés, restaurants, and designer boutiques.

Jaffa old city

Tel Aviv-Yafo, Tel Aviv District, Israel

Much of the original bazaar area is now home to restaurants and artisan boutiques. It's particularly lively in the evening when the old town throngs with diners.

Nachalat Binyamin Pedestrian Mall

Tel Aviv-Yafo, Tel Aviv District, Israel

This pedestrian walk is home for some of old Tlv garment district and the eclectic style of building. On Tuesdays and Fridays it holds an arts and crafts fair which is an excellent place to get local art or a unique piece of jewelry as well as gifts for the ones at home. Enjoy street performers and sometimes live music or kids shows. It holds a mix of old and new, buildings, shops, cafes and restaurants. Don't miss out on the icecream place located halfway through the main drag.

Namal: The Old Port Area -Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv's old port area (known as Namal) has been slickly rejuvenated and is now a hip waterfront hangout strip full of shops and cafés. The boardwalk here is a favorite for promenading youngsters, while families flock to the area on weekends. The area is home to small private art galleries and an excellent indoor market.

HaTayelet

HaTayelet, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel

This is the paved beachside walkway which provides a 2km path between Tel Aviv and Jaffa.

Frishman Beach

In Tel Aviv this beach section is amazing, you cannot miss the sunset !!! Try the the local beach-front restaurants and bars.

Dizengoff Circle & Surrounds

Tel Aviv-Yafo, Tel Aviv District, Israel

The hub of Tel Aviv is this central plaza, laid out on two levels with a raised area for pedestrians above the carriageway and topped by the peculiar modern-art Fire and Water Fountain, designed by Israeli artist Yaacov Agam. The plaza and the street running off it are named after Meir Dizengoff, Tel Aviv's first mayor after the city separated from Jaffa. From the circle, Dizengoff Street runs southeast to Habima Square, Tel Aviv's cultural center and home to the Habima Theater, built in 1935. This is also where you'll find the excellent Helena Rubinstein Pavilion of Contemporary Art, which hosts a program of temporary art exhibits.

Tel Aviv Museum of Art

The city's major museum and a leading light in Israel's contemporary art scene, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art contains works by Degas, Monet, Van Gogh, Henry Moore, Picasso, Jackson Pollock, and the world's largest collection of work by Israeli artists.

Over a decade after opening, chef Sharon Cohen’s bar and restaurant still hits all the right notes: an upbeat vibe, incredibly fresh seafood, and an energetic playlist. This is definitely the place to down shooters and sample the sought­-after fish tartare wrapped in avocado, or indulge in caviar and drink to your heart’s content.

Mapu Restaurant (Kosher)

The pickings for kosher restaurants had been rather slim until last year, but celebrated chef Nir Zook, known for helming many successful spots in the past, decided to show off his kosher skills with Mapu, located in a centrally-located boutique hotel that features a beautiful garden. Zook’s obsession with local ingredients and his fervor to cook and bake everything in house make this a lovely choice for lunch or dinner.

Miznon Restaurant

Street food took a new turn when chef Eyal Shani opened this pita­-focused joint, a no­-frills spot that buzzes all day long. Fresh, fluffy pitas are packed with kebabs, steak and eggs, or ratatouille. Don’t pass up Shani’s signature dish: a full head of roasted cauliflower, which is rich, thick and filling.

Port Said Restaurant

If you are looking for a restaurant that represents Tel Aviv, this is it. With its hipster atmosphere and delicious take on middle-eastern food, this is the perfect place to chill and meet friends after a hard day at work, or playing matkot on the beach. The menu changes daily and includes sharing portions of freshly-sourced local food, served with spoonfuls of tehina. We recommend their minute steak and chicken liver!

Located in Neve Tzedek, Dallal is a really special place to go for breakfast. The atmosphere is relaxed, the decoration meticulous. Similary with the food, the choices are simple, but with a delicious gourmet twist. For the summer there is a lovely outdoor patio, and for the hangovers there is an extensive cocktail list.

Itzik HaGadol Restaurant

Raziel Street 3, Jaffa, Israel

Typical Israeli barbecue. The meat is excellent, and they fill the table up with almost a hundred delicious little salads. If you are entertaining guests from out of town, this will definitely give a wow-factor! The steaks are great, and the house kebab is the best kebab in Tel Aviv. A meal for two with drinks starts at 300 NIS, and the restaurant is open 11.30am to 11.30pm every day (closed Friday). Call to make a reservation.
