Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Isobel Griffin and Drew Gitlin
We cannot imagine our wedding without our closest friends and family standing by our side. Meet our wedding party who will be walking down the aisle with us.

Madeleine Balcer

Matron of Honor

The iconic middle child, Maddy is Isobel's older sister and has truly seen it all. As Isobel's lifelong best friend and co-conspirator, she has been there for every questionable decision and late night laugh. As Isobel's biggest supporter of her Chick-Fil-A addiction, Maddy was the clear choice for the job. Maddy is the perfect MoH -- organized enough to keep the wedding on track, but mischievous enough to make sure it’s a good time. Isobel cannot imagine a wedding day without her sister by her side.

Josh Gitlin

Best Man

As Drew’s younger brother, Josh has been his built-in best friend and lifelong target of annoyance. Fishing trips, ski days, dirt bikes, and Broncos games filled their childhood, and they rarely did anything without each other. These days, Josh living in Reno gives Drew a great excuse to take time off work and head to Tahoe for more adventures, and if he’s lucky, Josh might even fly him somewhere cool just because he can. Through every stage of life, Josh has been a constant in Drew’s world, and their bond has only grown stronger over the years.

Erika Polhamus

Bridesmaid

Erika and Isobel met during preference night while Isobel was rushing sororities at CU Boulder. A year ahead at CU and also an Aerospace Engineer, Erika quickly became Isobel's big and mentor. Over the years, they have shared so many memories, from ski trips to college meltdowns. Even with Erika moving back to Huntington Beach this past year, she is still Isobel's best friend and such an important part of her life. Isobel cannot wait to say "I Do" with Erika by her side.

Jeremy Regan

Groomsman

Jeremy and Drew’s history of shenanigans and tomfoolery dates back to 8th grade. Over the years they have shared everything from high school trips to Costa Rica volunteering with sea turtles and jaguars with OSA Conservation, to ski trips, beach trips, and even a stint working construction in New Jersey where they mostly perfected watering dirt and collecting rebar. Their friendship runs on competition, and while Jeremy may currently have “all the marbles,” Drew is confident they will be his again someday.

Julia Kincaid

Bridesmaid

Julia and I met in Aerospace Engineering in college, where we survived the trenches and still had the best time outside of class. From studying to celebrating after finals to surviving COVID times together, Julia has been there for it all. Julia was also friends with Drew in college, despite Isobel not yet meeting him, making her a natural and much-loved part of our wedding day.

Dane Wasik

Groomsman

Dane and Drew met in 8th grade at The Masters School and have been inseparable ever since. High school often meant “dates” to Buffalo Wild Wings, Dave & Buster’s, and late-night diner runs. If there is one thing more reliable than their friendship, it is Dane having a jar of peanut butter on hand at all times. Between endless video game sessions and staying caught up on life, they have always shown up for one another, even though Drew allegedly got him fired that one time.

Katie Kurtz

Bridesmaid

Katie and Isobel met their senior year of college through mutual friends and were instant friends. From drinks at the Dark Horse to COVID quarantine, they have survived it all together. Post-college, Katie and Isobel are still close, whether it be spending time at Three Dogs or early morning hot Pilates, they always have the best time. Katie has also been friend with Drew since college, so it was an easy choice to have her stand by Isobel's side for this big day.

Tyler Jarecki

Groomsman

Tyler and Drew became friends in 8th grade at The Masters School. They were in different classes, but like Romeo and Juliet they found each other anyway. Whether skiing, snowboarding, battling in video games, or trying to dunk on one another in the pool, they have always found a way to turn anything into a game. Ski trips to Mount Snow, complete with some drifting in the parking lot, are just one example of the many adventures they have shared together.

Alexa Lehrer

Bridesmaid

Alexa is Isobel's second oldest friend (next to her sister), and has been by her side through almost everything! They met in sixth grade writing class and have been friends ever since. From a shared high school graduation party to their adventures in Denver, Alexa has been through it all with Isobel. Isobel cannot imagine her special day without Alexa a part of it!

Jordan Reynolds

Groomsman

As freshman-year neighbors in the CU dorms, Drew and Jordan were never short on questionable adventures. Hailing from Texas, Jordan somehow trusted a manual two-wheel-drive car to take them into the mountains far more times than it probably should have. Many days were spent skiing the park at Eldora or fishing along Boulder Creek, always looking for the next outing. Planned or not, Jordan was always ready to jump into whatever adventure came along.

Emily Naismith

Bridesmaid

Emily and Isobel met in college and were in the same in sorority together (Theta), both living in the house Sophomore year. While living in the house, Isobel and Emily became instant friends and spent so much time studying in Norlin and partying around Boulder. When Emily moved back to Denver after college, their friendship became even stronger. From dinner dates at Barcelona Wine Bar to party bus birthday parties, they have become so close and Isobel is so grateful for her friendship. Since meeting Drew through Isobel, Emily has also become his close friend and they are both so excited to have her a part of their special day.

Mike Dynakowski

Groomsman

Another freshman-year neighbor, Mike quickly became more than just a dorm mate, and he and Drew lived together for the next three years throughout college. Mike helped keep the legendary “Crab Shack” running, fueled by late-night Chipotle mystery burritos and whatever else was needed to survive. Whether it was day-to-day life or a full Rock Band session with “Munk on drums” laying down the beat, Mike was always there to provide the steady foundation.

Jen Strothman

Bridesmaid

Jen and Isobel met after college through mutual friends and boyfriends (both now fiancés!) and quickly became close friends. From skiing in Breck to late night chess on girls trips, Jen always brings the best energy to any event. Their shared love of prosecco and smut books has brought them so much closer over the past few years, and Isobel has been so grateful to go through the engagement era with Jen and cannot wait to have her by her side on the big day.

Matt Melby

Groomsman

Matt was also part of the original freshman dorm crew, and like a true test of friendship he and Drew lived together for the next three years. Their time as roommates included plenty of debates over dishes and the shared bathroom, but they somehow made it work. After moving to Denver, their tradition carried on with almost weekly Thursday nights at Swanky’s, Tom’s, or Wynkoop playing pool, watching football, and reliving college glory days.

Ally Herr

Bridesmaid

Ally's husband Nathan was Drew's roommate for three years in college, but Isobel and Ally were never introduced until after college. Despite meeting through their significant others, Ally and Isobel became quick friends, bonding over their love of wine, massages, and girls trips. Ally is such a loyal and fun friend, Isobel cannot imagine marrying Drew without her by her side!

Joe Borgerding

Groomsman

Joe was the cool kid from Steamboat who quickly became a lifelong adventure partner. Together, he and Drew learned to mono ski at Eldora, spent countless days fly fishing across Colorado, and even summited and skied Mount Yotei in Japan. Joe is always ready to bike, ski, camp, or explore somewhere new. If there is an adventure to be had, chances are Joe is already halfway there.
