Mr. & Mrs. Santana

We met at school and started off as friends. One day Ish asked Maya's friends if they thought she would be interested in him, and they said probably not! Ish decided to drop it, but a few months later we went on an accidental double date that she still doesn’t believe was actually an accident. This gave us a reason to talk to each other though, and keep in touch throughout the summer after our junior year. That summer Ish drove 6 hours one way to Maya's house and told her how he felt! A few months later we went on a picnic date and he asked her to be his girlfriend.

After a year of memories during our senior year of college, and spending so much time during the pandemic playing tennis, trying new recipes, and seeing the crazy sides of one another during quarantine, we know each other pretty well. Most of September Maya was waiting for Ish to pop the question, and could just feel it coming. Ish tried to surprise her over his birthday weekend, and took Maya to the Bristol waterfront on October 2nd where friends and family were waiting for us by the water. It was one of our most magical moments yet! Finally, we finished the night with a surprise visit from more family and friends.
