Should we book a hotel or a rental?

Answer

We highly recommend renting a condo or house through Airbnb, Vrbo or a vacation rental website. Ocean Isle doesn’t have many traditional hotels, and rentals give you more space, comfort, and that true beach-vacation feel.

If I’m flying, what airport should I use?

Answer

Ocean Isle doesn’t have an airport, so you’ll likely connect through Charlotte before landing. The best airports to fly into are Myrtle Beach (MYR) or Wilmington (ILM) — both are about 75 minutes from Ocean Isle.

What’s in town?

Answer

Even though Ocean Isle is on the smaller side, it has everything you need for a great beach weekend — multiple grocery stores, restaurants, beach bars, and plenty of cute shops for essentials or souvenirs. It’s cozy, convenient, and full of coastal charm.

Should we rent a golf cart?

Answer

Absolutely! Renting a golf cart is a fun and super convenient way to get around town. Ajax is our preferred rental company — it adds an extra layer of beach-vacation vibes.

Are kids allowed?

We love your little ones, but this will be a kid-free weekend. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and fully enjoy the celebration!

What’s the weather like in October in Ocean Isle?

Answer

October is one of the best months at Ocean Isle — warm days around the mid-70s, cooler evenings in the low 60s, and plenty of sunshine. The ocean is usually still comfortable, and rain is lighter than in summer. We recommend bringing a light layer for evenings and enjoying the beach during the day!

-Ceremony is on the beach so be prepared for breezy conditions and sand. -Ceremony and Reception are in the same spot! -Lots of available parking at the venue (for cars and golf carts!)

Our most favorite spot for a quick breakfast/lunch/coffee is 59 Causeway Drive Bagels and Coffee! For lunch/dinner we love to go to Sharkeys or Ocean Isle Fish Company - there is great food, drinks and even better views (you can even drive your golf cart) Shopping - you can't go wrong with any of the local beach stores, they will have everything you could possibly need for the beach. For essentials the closest large grocery store is the Publix before the bridge located at 1560 Mkt Pl Blvd, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469.
