How we Met

He was all in. I was like… are you sure?

We met on Hinge, like a lot of people do now, but it didn’t feel ordinary for very long. From the start, he was all in. The kind of energy where you can tell someone isn’t just passing time, they actually mean what they say. He fell fast, completely head over heels, and I remember thinking… this is a little crazy. I was more cautious. I didn’t fully believe someone could be that sure that quickly, so I kept a bit of distance at first, trying to figure him out. But he never wavered. He was consistent in a way that’s rare, steady, intentional, and very sure about me from the beginning. Somewhere along the way, what felt overwhelming at first started to feel safe. The “crazy” I thought I saw turned into certainty, and his confidence in us slowly made me more confident too. What started as something I questioned became something I couldn’t ignore. Looking back, we met online, but it never really felt like just an app. It felt like something that showed up at the right time, in a way I didn’t expect, and turned into something real.

My Favorite Date

A pink cocktail, a perfect sunset, and a winning streak.

For our anniversary we went to Island Prime to celebrate, watched the sunset over the water, and just sat in that quiet feeling of being exactly where we’re meant to be. It felt like one of those nights you don’t rush through, where everything slows down just enough for you to notice it. We ordered drinks, mine a pink cocktail that felt as pretty as the view, and shared a table full of things that made the night feel indulgent in the best way. A double baked stuffed potato, lobster, tomato soup, all of it. The kind of meal where you keep saying “this is so good” after every bite. Easily the fanciest date we’ve ever been on. And then somehow the night kept going. After dinner, he went to the casino and won back the money he had spent, like the night just refused to end on anything less than a high note. It felt a little unreal, like everything was lining up in our favor. But more than anything, it was sitting across from him and realizing that this is what it’s supposed to feel like. Not just the big moments, but the quiet ones too. The kind where nothing needs to be said, and you still know you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

The Proposal

He stepped back… I should’ve known something was up.

Zach planned a couples photoshoot as his cover. He told me he was inspired by his sister’s shoot and thought it would be a good idea so his parents’ house wouldn’t be completely filled with Addison and Daniel’s photos. What I didn’t know was that when he reached out to the photographers, he told them it was actually going to be an engagement shoot and asked them to capture the moment. As we were taking pictures, everything felt normal until he suddenly stepped back. That’s when he pulled a ring box out of his boot, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. April 23, 2026
