There's always two sides

It all started at a friend’s birthday party at BSE. With her parents out of town, Ishani’s curfew was magically extended, giving her the rare chance to enjoy a late night out. She was catching up with friends, having a great time, completely unaware that this would be a night to remember. Amid the party crowd, one person stood out (you guessed it, Aman). They struck up a conversation, bonding over everything from favorite TV shows to future dreams. Time flew by, and soon it was just the two of them, chatting and laughing until Ishani realized she needed to rush home. In the chaos, she left without sharing her contact info—no number, no Instagram. But fate (or her determined friend Vasu) wasn’t going to let their story end there. Vasu orchestrated a few meetups, but Ishani kept rescheduling—was she playing hard to get? (Spoiler: absolutely!) Finally, Aman made his move with a smooth DM and a follow request. From there, the conversations flowed, and they met again. One meeting turned into two, then three, and soon they were inseparable. Now, ten years later, they’re ready to kick off the next chapter of their incredible journey together!

Aman had been happily single, living by Barney Stinson’s “legendary” advice from How I Met Your Mother. So, on his usual Saturday night out, he didn’t expect anything out of the ordinary. That night, one of his friends was hosting a party with her school friends. Amid the crowd, Aman noticed someone who stood out (yep, it was Ishani). It wasn’t love at first sight, but there was something about her that pushed Aman—normally the last to make the first move—to start a conversation. They hit it off instantly, bonding over TV shows, their shared love-hate relationship with Kolkata, and dreams of moving to Mumbai. But when Ishani’s curfew called, she left without sharing her contact info, leaving Aman to assume that was the end. Thankfully, his friends (shoutout to Vasu and Adi) had other plans. They orchestrated another meetup, but Ishani didn’t show. Undeterred, Aman took matters into his own hands with a smooth Insta request. What followed were endless DMs, meetups, and, eventually, the start of their journey together. The rest, as they say, is history!
