Will Children Be Allowed to Attend?

While we adore your kids, our wedding will be adults-only. We hope you enjoy a night out with us!

Can I bring a Plus One?

We are binded by our contract to keep a set number of guests. If you would like to bring a plus one, please reach out to Matthew or Sabrina!

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Nope -- besides formal attire, feel free to wear whatever you would like, but leave all-white to the bride-to-be please!

What Airport is Closest if I’m Flying in?
Answer
The location of the venue is pretty rural so it is best to plan accordingly; the closest airport is Danville Regional Airport (about 40-45 minutes from the venue), Lynchburg Regional Airport (about 1 hour and 15 minutes from the venue), Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU) (about 1 hour and 30 minutes from the venue).

Is the wedding ceremony indoor or outdoor?
Answer
We are shooting for the ceremony to be outdoor. Weather permitting, in the event of rain/unfavorable conditions, the wedding will still be at the same venue, indoors!

Do you have a hotel block?
Answer
All of the Save-the-Dates will include the room block code to book a room at $145 per night for a queen-room or $155 per night for a double-room. There is also the group block code under the 'Travel' tab with instructions for how to book on the website. We have reserved enough rooms with the venue for everyone to be able to secure their spot! Please note, the resort will release any unbooked rooms in our block on September 11th, 2026.

Do We Have to Stay at the Venue?
Answer
No you do not! This venue was picked specifically to accommodate for our out-of-town guests but you are more than welcome to stay elsewhere if desired! Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites South Boston is located about 2.8 miles from the venue -- please be aware, we do not have a room block anywhere else within the area besides at the resort itself.

When you arrive at Berry Hill Resort, keep to the left and follow the signs to the hotel.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?
Answer
Yes — no driving between events!

Will the ceremony be seated or standing?
Answer
Seated — no need to worry about standing in heels.

Is Flash Photography Allowed?

Please no flash during the ceremony — after that, snap away!

What meals are available for dietary restrictions?
Answer
Vegetarian, vegan, GF, nut-free options available upon request -- reach out to Sabrina with any needed meal acommodations!

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes! We will be hosting cocktail hour after the ceremony and alcohol will be served during the reception. We will have beer, wine and cocktails galore! After 9:00pm, the venue will wrap up reception and guests are more than welcome to wander the grounds and attend Darby's Tavern (at your own expense) for more food and alcohol/refreshment options until 12am!

What’s your preferred method for receiving cards?
Answer
We’ll have a card box at the reception — please don’t mail cards to the venue.

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?
Answer
Absolutely! We will have a table with a card-box located outside of the ballroom for guests.
Question
What is the temperature usually like in Virginia at this time of year?
Answer
Virginia late-summer usually has a temperature around 75+ degrees at the end of September during the day, night time the temperature is usually mid-60 degrees.
