Andrew has been a constant and loyal friend—continuing to visit Lucas regularly, with the two making a point to see each other almost every month. Andrew is a passionate engineer and is also newly engaged, making this season of life especially exciting for him.

Madeline is Isamar’s newest—and only—sister-in-law. She first met Isamar at a college tailgate as Jose’s girlfriend at the time. After living together for six months, their relationship blossomed into a close friendship, and they truly became sisters. They talk often, check in on each other regularly, and share a special bond. Madeline is an amazing teacher and coach and is also a soon-to-be mother.

Jose is Isamar’s older brother and met Lucas when they were in high school. Jose and Lucas lived together for six months, and what started as an “I’m dating your sister” relationship naturally grew into a genuine friendship. Jose is a dedicated firefighter and is soon expecting his first child, making this an especially joyful chapter for their family.

Karla has been a part of Isamar’s life since she was 15 years old and is someone she deeply admires. As a successful Latina professional, Karla exemplifies what it means to balance a thriving career managing two bank branches while also having a strong family life. They share a close relationship, and Isamar considers her one of her aunts.

Samin met Lucas in college during the Burge flood of 2017, where they bonded over shared classes and the unforgettable smell in the halls after the flood. Their friendship continued to grow as they stayed in the same biomedical engineering lectures. He now lives in South Dakota with his fiancée, beginning an exciting new chapter in his life.

Anna is more than just Lucas’s younger sister, she has become a true friend to Isamar. Whether it’s staying up late on Christmas Eve or catching up during her busy New York work schedule, they always make time for each other and share meaningful, deep conversations. Anna continues to break barriers in New York as an investment banker.

Jackson and Lucas became friends through Isamar, as she and Jackson attended college together. Isamar considers Jackson like a brother, and he has grown into a true friend to Lucas as well. Jackson is an ambitious engineer who is driven to continue growing in his career.

Grace, Lucas’s youngest sister, was one of the first to welcome Isamar into the family and made her feel at home right away. She always keeps conversations flowing and brings a warm, easy energy to every moment. Currently studying to become a pharmacist, Grace has been dedicated to helping others since high school and has always been ahead, confidently knowing her calling.

Felipe is one of Lucas’s oldest friends, and they’ve shared many memories along with plenty of political conversations. Felipe, Lucas, and Isamar were all part of the same high school group and are now all engineers. Felipe is an ambitious engineer who loves to travel and currently lives in Seattle.

Helen and Isamar first connected on a trip to Colorado and later decided to become college roommates, quickly becoming inseparable. They spent most of their time studying, while still finding ways to have fun together. Helen has since become one of Isamar’s best friends, and as a software engineer, she is on track to make a meaningful impact.

Chandler met Lucas through the best man, and the two quickly bonded over their love for skiing and outdoor activities. They make it a point to spend time together whenever Lucas visits Iowa.
Mya Fisher

Mya and Isamar met at their first big girl jobs and quickly connected, both navigating major responsibilities in their early 20s, one as a scientist and the other as an engineer, essentially helping run the company. Through daily lunches and constant conversations, they learned from each other and built a strong friendship. They still talk every day, and as Mya begins a new career, she will continue to grow and do amazing things.
