We met at IDCN Youth Camp, it was the last day. Nicole was staff and Isaias was a camper. Isaias noticed Nicole standing alone and decided to approach her and make conversation. They spent their time talking about how some people walk "pigeon-toed", Nicole finally remembered Isaias' name, Isaias guessed Nicole's age and said she was "30-something" because that's what his brother told him and she laughed in embarrassment. They felt as if they had known of each other for some time and spent the rest of the day hanging out amongst their close friends. By the end of the night, they felt as though something was there, being nervous around the other, and sad to say goodbye at the end of the night. Nicole quickly followed Isaias on Instagram, Isaias became determined to become her best friend, and that is how a beautiful and genuine friendship began.

It was an early Saturday morning, Isaias woke everyone up to get ready to go on a hike. Nicole woke up thinking this was going to be an ordinary day and a normal hike to Mt. Charleston. Unbeknownst to her, Isaias had been planning out the whole proposal for six months. Their family and friends were already waiting up the trail, setting up the scenery with flowers and the words "Marry Me". Isaias and Nicole talked about how difficult it was to breathe and never felt more out of shape, but he promised the final scenery would be worth it. The time came when the trail split off to the proposal site, he became extremely nervous and forgot all the words he wrote down, and spoke to her from the heart. Their family and friends watched from a distance and saw Isaias drop to one knee. Isaias asked, "Nicole Marie, will you marry me?" With tears in Nicole's eyes and the biggest smile on her face she said, "Yes!" Isaias' voice filled the air with, "she said, 'Yes!'" All of their family and friends came out of hiding and ran to them sharing tears of joy and congratulated the newly engaged couple!
