Thank you for being apart of our journey

I knew Isaiah in middle school and had a great big middle school crush on him but he never even knew I existed. Fast forward to our freshman year of high school, we were on the cross country team together and we both just happen to be injured at the same time. We then did some of the coaches extra work he had for the injured kids to do and we did that together. With him being forced to spend so much time with me he started to see some potential and asked me to go to homecoming and be his girlfriend! He was my first kiss and first real boyfriend. It didn't last long until he broke up with me (a month to be exact). But if you know Isaiah and I you'd know that we frequently (more than I'd like to admit) broke up and got back together several different times throughout high school. Thankfully with the help of friends, circumstances, and God's will, we made it back together for the long run and we couldn't be happier.

If any of you were surprised to see our engagement, we understand! We know we will be judged and that's something we are willing to deal with. In case you are worried we want to let you know that we have had multiple talks with our parents and they have promised they will never let us fail. We see no way of failing but you never know what life could bring so our parents have reassured us that they will always be there for us. Ultimately we trust that God will provide in our times of need, Matthew 6:25-34.

Isaiah is currently an apprentice electrician and looking to get his journeyman's in the next 4 years. Mikayla is pursuing a career in Human resources. She is currently at Muskegon Community College and will be transferring to Grand Valley State University to major in Bachelors of Business Administration.
