FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out to Isadora or vivaconcierge.com.br
Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not registered anywhere. Your presence is our gift.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 3:30pm. More details to come...

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Beachy chic! It will be around the high 70s during the day and low 70s at night (pretty much perfect weather!), long dresses are perfect, and linen attire for the men. But honestly you can wear whatever you want!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

yes!!!!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are many hotels that you can choose from, since the villages survive with tourism. For hotel recommendations please contact vivaconcierge.com.br

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

If you are staying at the beach in Praia de Espelho, the hotel that the wedding will take place will be walking distance. After we get everyones hotel info we will work out what will be the best shuttle service for everyone.

Question

Visas to enter Brazil

Answer

VISIT VISA EXEMPTION FOR U.S. CITZENS Nationals of Australia, Canada, Japan and the United States of America are exempt of Visit Visas (VIVIS - Tourism / Business) since June 17, 2019. Stays in Brazil are allowed for up to 90 days, extendable for the same period, provided that the visitor does not exceed 180 days of stay in the Brazilian territory every 12 months, counting from the date of the first entry. If you are of other nationality listed above, you will most likely need a visa. Please go to http://novayork.itamaraty.gov.br/en-us/-_consular_vivis.xml (tourist visa)

Question

Drinking Water

Answer

You should not drink the tap water in Brazil, however its perfectly safe to brush your teeth with. If you ask for water in a restaurant, it is customary that they will bring bottled water...so nothing to worry about!

Question

Safety

Answer

Fortunately this region is super safe due to the high rate of tourism, but I wouldn't be flaunting too many diamonds around ;)

Question

Money exchange

Answer

The good thing is that the dollar is four times higher than the real (brazilian money) 4 reais=1 dollar, so once you get there things will feel cheaper than in america. I highly recommend exchanging your money before you arrive in Brazil, most of the credit card machines only work with brazilian credit cards. There is a bank/atm in Trancoso if you need cash.

Question

Travel

Answer

Porto Seguro Airport (BPS) is the closest airport to our wedding village, and unfortunately there are no direct flights, which means you have to stop in Sao Paulo first. But I promise it will be worth the long travel day, once you get to Bahia, you won't even remember how you got there! P.S. A good time to book your flights would be between 6-2 months prior to our big day, 08/08/2020

Question

Phones/service

Answer

Make sure you download WhatsApp in your phone before you get to Bahia. It will be the most convenient way to communicate with everyone. There will be phone service in Trancoso, however once we get to Praia do Espelho there is no signal. But don't worry there is Wifi in hotels/houses that you will all be staying.

Question

Voltage and Adapters info

Answer

The voltage that is used in Trances, Bahia is 220 V. I wouldn't bring any hot tools such as blowdryers, straighteners, and curly irons because it won't withstand the high voltage. Normally, all accommodations will have a blow dryer. Don't forget to bring adapter for your phone/computer chargers. (Apple products are compatible with all voltages, so no need for converters for this specific need).
