We met in the summer of 2015. But it wasn’t until the end of college, when Isabel last-minute tagged along to a Hampden-Sydney football game with a few girlfriends, that she and Marshall crossed paths again. From that day on, we were practically inseparable. Our first date was at Shepherd Street Tavern, just behind Isabel’s apartment on Monument Avenue. From there, Isabel made countless drives to Farmville to watch Marshall's lacrosse games and have study dates in the library, while Marshall drove to Richmond for holiday parties, strolls through Maymont Park, and morning smoothie runs. After graduation, we decided to move in together and found the sweetest little townhouse in Ashland. Nights were filled with the sound of passing trains and our new puppy, River, settling into his home. We quickly outgrew that space and made the move to the Northern Neck, where Marshall’s family has spent so much time over the years and a place we both love so much. This past June, on the first morning of our trip to St. Barths, Marshall proposed on the lookout deck of our villa with the sea glimmering below. It was the perfect start to an unforgettable week, and now, the rest is history. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with you!
