FAQs

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with the people closest to us! If you’ve been given a plus one, you’ll see their name (or “and guest”) on your invitation.

Question

CAN I BRING MY KIDS?

Answer

We love your little ones, and we can’t wait to celebrate with a dance floor full of joy! That said, we’re only inviting a few kids (mostly close family). If your children are included, their names will be on your invitation. If not, we hope you enjoy a well-deserved grown-up night of fun!

Question

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests wear all black attire. You can wear anything that makes you feel your absolute best — a black dress, black pants and a top, a jumpsuit, a full suit, or even a black polo with black pants. Dress it up or keep it simple, the goal is for you to feel confident, comfortable, and ready to celebrate! Do I have to be super formal? Not at all! This is not a black-tie event unless you want it to be. Just come in an all-black look that fits your personal style. Why all black? We love the timeless, chic look of an all-black celebration, and it will make the photos and dance floor look incredible.

Question

WE ARE FROM OUT OF TOWN, WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?

Answer

There are plenty of great options nearby, whether you prefer a hotel or something a little more homey: 1. Cobblestone Inn – Monticello, IA (12 miles away) A convenient spot, and we’ll have a shuttle running to and from the venue every hour for your ease! 2. Comfort Inn – Dyersville, IA (15 miles away) A cozy and simple option not far from the celebration. 3. Dubuque, IA (25–30 miles away) A bit farther, but with plenty of hotel choices and fun spots to explore if you’re turning this into a weekend trip! 4. Airbnb & VRBO: There are also great vacation rentals available in Cascade, and nearby towns like Monticello, Dyersville, Dubuque, and Peosta. These can be perfect for groups, families, or anyone looking for a little extra space

Question

WHAT SHOULD WE DO BETWEEN THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 1:30 PM and will be a full Catholic Mass—so expect it to last about an hour. Our cocktail hour kicks off at 4:30 PM, giving you some time in between to relax and recharge! You’re welcome to use that time to check into your hotel, freshen up, or explore a bit. If you're staying local, we recommend stopping by The Corner Taproom in town for a drink or snack—it's a great little spot to hang out before the celebration continues!
