Green Mountain Falls
Our welcome party on Thursday night is located here, but we highly recommend taking time to explore this tiny, charming arts community. A must see is James Turrell's Skyspace- website below to learn more about this unique experience and to make reservations. There are also hiking trails galore that shoot up the mountain side- use the AllTrails app to explore those. The elevation of Green Mountain Falls is 7756ft.
The Pantry
One of our favorite places in Green Mountain Falls. Tucked on either side of a creek, the Pantry is an al fresco restaurant and has great, mountain fare. Arrive early and expect a wait- folks drive from all over to eat here!
Pikes Peak Cog Railway
Experience the breathtaking Pikes Peak Cog Railway, America's highest cog railway, climbing to an astounding 14,115 feet above sea level. This scenic journey takes you through multiple ecosystems to the summit of Pikes Peak, where "America the Beautiful" was inspired. The three-hour round trip offers spectacular mountain views, alpine scenery, and a chance to stand atop one of Colorado's most iconic "14ers"—a perfect adventure for wedding guests looking to explore the natural beauty of the region. Manitou Springs
Explore the charming mountain town of Manitou Springs (elevation 6,412 feet), nestled at the base of Pikes Peak. This quirky, artistic community offers something for everyone: challenge yourself on the famous Manitou Incline, a steep trail climbing nearly 2,000 vertical feet with incredible views; unwind at Manitou Brewing Company with locally crafted beers; and enjoy classic fun at the Penny Arcade, featuring vintage games and nostalgic entertainment. With its unique shops, natural mineral springs, and vibrant atmosphere, Manitou Springs is a blend of adventure and relaxation. Parking can be challenging as Manitou Springs has grown in popularity- bring patience if you plan to visit!
North Pole Colorado Santa’s Workshop
The North Pole- officially Santa's Workshop- is a vintage Christmas-themed amusement park that's been charming visitors since 1956. Perched at 7,500 feet on the mountainside, this quirky park features candy-striped poles, a permanent ice North Pole in the center that never melts, and North America's highest altitude Ferris wheel. It's a wonderfully odd, one of a kind experience.
Raspberry Peak Hike
Check out where we got engaged! A challenging 5.3 mile hike with 1522ft in elevation gain ends with a high reward- beautiful views of Pikes Peak. Hit Paradox Brewing after to enjoy a well-earned brew.
Paradox Brewing
A funky brewery with an amazing patio with fantastic views of Pikes Peak. We went here after our engagement hike! Be warned- it is at an elevation of 9156. Have a beer but water, too!
