Altitude is no joke! Timber Ridge is at 11,660 feet elevation (2x as high as Denver). Here are ways to best prepare. 1. Hydrate. Drink as much water as you can leading up to your travel and when you arrive. This is one of the best things to avoid altitude sickness. 2. Acclimate by staying in Denver for a night if you can. This will help your body adjust. 3. Consider medication to help with altitude acclimatization. The medicine used is called Acetazolamide (Diamox). I am not a Doctor (although I am a PA), but please ask your Healthcare provider about this if you are interested in some extra altitude assistance!
To get to and from our ceremony/reception site - two scenic Gondola rides are required. All things considered the journey is about a 25-30 minutes. The Gondola will be open and available for up and/or down trips all night. You are free to come and go as you please!
We wish that we could invite everyone! Please refer to your wedding invitation envelope or the RSVP link on the website to see who is included in our head count!
Hard to say! The average August day is around 65-75 degrees with temperatures falling to 40-50 degrees at night. Not a bad idea to bring a light jacket or shawl.
