Boston 2016: They met on Tinder (an online dating app for the non millennials out there) in the spring of 2016. While some wouldn’t have great things to say about the app, they’re both sure glad that they were spending their time so wisely swiping (to the right in this case!). Mikko planned a surprise first date. Belle’s friends were slightly weary of a stranger taking her to an undisclosed location, but she was intrigued by Mikko’s exciting approach! They met at a Starbucks and shared an Uber to a bowling alley (little did Belle know, Mikko was a very competitive bowler). A year later they moved into their first tiny apartment in Beacon Hill. Nashville 2018: A few months after that they took off to spend a year in Nashville, following Belle’s job. They fell in love with country and bluegrass music and ate way too much BBQ. Colorado Springs 2019: After a year in the south they headed towards the mountains, following an exciting new job opportunity for Mikko. They spent a year and a half with beautiful views! ***Scotland 2019*** Although they were only in Scotland for ten days, it’ll remain a big part of their story. Mikko is half Scottish and grew up traveling there with his Mum. Belle had never been, so Mikko decided to take her on an epic road trip to learn about his family’s history. It was in a tiny house (like the ones you see on HGTV) where he shocked Belle by getting down on one knee! Concord 2020: 2020 certainly came with some big surprises and life changes. They decided to move back East to be closer to family and friends. They were lucky enough to find themselves some cool new roommates (Belle's parents, Robyn and Bob), and are currently living in Belle's hometown. TBD 2021: They don’t know where they’re off to next, but they do know that their biggest adventure has yet to start! Cheers to a brighter 2021!
