Question

When is the wedding?

Answer

The marriage ceremony will be held at 3PM on May 22nd, we will be inside so don't worry about the heat!

Question

Is there a reception? Where will it be?

Answer

The reception will be located at the church as well, it will be in the M.A.C building beside the church.

Question

Is there anything special about the ceremony?

Answer

We would like to remind you that this a deeply personal and religious union under the covenant of God and the Trinity. It was a priority of Jacob and I for our marriage to be blessed by the hands of God, and to be held accountable in the future of that marriage. We will be having church service along with communion, you are not asked to participate in communion if you would not like, we are just happy to have you as a witness!

Question

Where is this place anyway?

Answer

The wedding will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Jefferson TX in honor of Susan, Isabelle's mom, and her Methodist background. It was very important that the wedding be a religious ceremony, sacred and blessed in the presence of God.

Question

Do I need a babysitter?

Answer

No of course not! We understand at this short notice, it is not in your convenience to ask you to leave your children. Your family is more than welcome to attend!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Yes, 100% absolutely! If you would like to bring your special people, we would love to celebrate with them! We love to meet new people and make new friends!

Question

Hey, what do I need to wear to this thing?

Answer

The theme is 1920's art nouveau, a taste of J.R.R. Tolkien fantasy, and a hint of English taste; interpret that as you please, creative liberty will add to the beauty of the wedding! We love self expression! Keep in mind that the wedding is at 3PM, Sunday best and afternoon tea attire may be more accommodating to your comfort. Your comfort is a priority to us! The colors are maroon, browns, blues, purples. Think of nature with a fabulous twist!

Question

1920's?! Can I wear a flapper dress!

Answer

As supportive of women's rights as we all are, we ask that flapper style dresses not be worn considering they were the equivalent of lingerie in the 1920's. They are a very beautiful design, but there are several wonderful styles that are from the 1920's that you can choose from if you would like to dress up!

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

There are 2 lots available near the church to park. Let Susan Davis know if you have any issues with parking, she is part of the wedding planning and coordination team. Here is her personal number below: 318-963-0585

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

No, this will be an "unplugged wedding"; this means that photography of any kind is not allowed under any circumstance. This especially includes video cameras and smart phones. A professional photography artist has been hired in order to take candid and artistic shots of the wedding ceremony. A lot of hard work will be put into creating these pieces and we will not allow any risk of an opportunity for a shot to be missed. If you would like to request prints of the photos from the wedding, that can be arranged. Again, no photography is allowed. Thank you for your respect, understanding, and cooperation!

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

We hope that the lack of food choices won't deter you from coming, but there will be plenty of snacks such as home made cookie dough bites, sherbet punch, and tea. We will also be serving veggie plates, if that's your jam.

Question

Will There Be Cake??

Answer

Oh yeah buddy, you betcha.
