Our story actually started before we even knew it. Back in 2017, the bride was in her 4th year at Duquesne University and the groom was attending Pitt for his senior year. Bella found herself spending every weekend at the maid of honor’s house for whatever festivities were ahead. The bride and maid of honor are hometown besties, and what Bella didn’t realize was, her future husband was roommates with another hometown friend of theirs. This meant he was also there at the same place a lot of those weekends. Though they didn’t notice one another right away, as the year went on, Bella wanted to get to know the cute guy she kept running into. He was so nice and down to earth but every time she would try to invite him over he would reply “lol”. (Actual LOL now) Taylor didn’t have a washer and dryer in his apartment and used to have to pay to do his laundry, so Bella thought she was being so nice offering hers up so he could come over and do it for free, but Taylor wouldn't budge. Soon after, they realized they were both going to Florida for spring break 2018. And not only that, but they would be on the same flight! They didn't get to sit by one another on the flight unfortunately, and when they arrived in Florida Taylor and his group of friends got into their Uber to Miami and Bella and her friends went on their way to Fort Lauderdale. They did have plans to meet up at some point throughout the trip, though. They kept in contact for the first few days of spring break, texting each other of the shenanigans that were occurring on both trips. It was decided Bella and her friends wanted to go to Miami but when the evening came, unfortunately the lack of hydration had caught up to them. Bella was so excited to see Taylor, she couldn’t let this stand in her way so she decided to go on her own. She made sure her friends were okay and then called an Uber for the 45 minute drive. She packed a backpack consisting of 1 bathing suit and a toothbrush just in case she stayed for the next day at the beach before coming back. When she arrived at Taylor’s hotel, he was waiting outside on the front steps for her and came to the car to get her. He walked her up to the room to meet all of his friends and all of the girls in the adjoining room. What was supposed to be a 1 night trip, turned into Bella staying with them for the remainder of their trip which was 3 more days. This is where she met another bridesmaid, Sana who saved her life and let her borrow an outfit even though she barely knew her. Taylor and his friends were leaving, while Bella was going to be staying for 2 more days, then flying back home. They texted nonstop after he got home and when she got back, it wasn't even few hours before they were back together again. And honestly, the rest from there is history. Taylor said he initially did not want a relationship before graduation because he wanted to move out of Pittsburgh, but after meeting Bella, that all changed. Now here they are 7 years later, getting married! Currently, they live in Pittsburgh with their fish, Dior and two kitties, Cannoli and Pizzelle. They can’t wait to celebrate their love with everyone and cannot put into words their appreciation for everything everyone has done to help get them to their big day!
